I think it might be good idea for CPAN support for Perl, possibly PEAR support for PHP and whatever the Python community use to be integrated into YaST. With YaST identifying the appropriate development RPMs and installing them as required. This would help non-Perl,php,Python people maintain their installations in these languages and could be of benefit for those who choose to work with these languages.
