I just tested a clean-from-cvs-HEAD copy of webwork against a very simple action to see if i18n works for the property tag, with no success - all I seem to get back is garbage characters. This is on both resin 2.1.6 and tomcat 4.1.18 on XP/jdk 1.4.
My tests consist of setting the webwork.i18n.encoding in the webwork.properties file to the proper encoding (either UTF-8 or GB2312), editting the jsp file to set the corresponding encoding, restarting the application server and testing via copying characters from either http://www.google.co.jp/ (UTF-8) or http://cn.yahoo.com/ (GB2312) into the form and clicking update. I've test in both IE 6 and Mozilla 1.2.1.
If anyone else could confirm this behavior it would be appreciated - my sample code can be found at

Regards,
Bruce Ritchie

Matt, I've updated the WebTable stuff I had been meaning to do for a while (thanks Paolo!), so maybe it's time for a 1.3 final release? One thing that needs to be resolved is that commons-logging isn't being included in the release, or something like that. Could you check that out (the build.xml file scared me!)?-Pat ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Opensymphony-webwork mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/opensymphony-webwork
