I would suggest using 1.3.. I have been using it from CVS for a large number
of projects and it's worked out great. There are many bug fixes that you
would surely run into with 1.2.

The documentation does need some help, if you read the JDJ (Dec issue) I
have pointed this out. There are ways around the the issue with the
validation editors that are more obvious once you start coding.

I myself have not used the application server with Jetty, but would advice
this... I try to keep my projects tied to one of the following app servers :
WebLogic, Orion/Oracle, JBoss, Resin or (ack) Tomcat. This will keep you in
line with what others have done before and provide a good reference section
on google.com :).

Jira uses is (http://www.atlassian.com), Cisco uses it (also uses
OSWorkFlow) and there are a large number of products that I have used the
framework with in the past with much success.

Always looking, feel free to email me and give details!

Hope this helps!

Subject: [OS-webwork] newbie: should I use 1.3 or 1.2.1?

I'm a Webwork newbie.
* Should I use 1.3 or 1.2.1?
* It looks like the library of ValidationEditorSupport's is very thin.
There's no MonthEditor, YearEditor, etc. IntegerEditor has no range option.
Is there a way to pass parameters to ValidationEditorSupport's?
* The javadoc's have no documentation on them. For example, what formats
does DateEditor & DateFormatEditor support? Does EmailEditor check the
domain for validity?
* Has anybody used it with jetty?
* Is there a list of sites/products which use it? I found out about it when
I noticed jiveboards uses it.
* Anybody who has high traffic Web site experience looking for work?
Thx. -Ken
