SiteMesh should allow all of this. I don't know enough about how Tiles
works, but there is nothing special going on with WebWork. So if you can use
servlets with Tiles, you can use WebWork actions with Tiles.

Subject: [OS-webwork] Webwork with Tiles

I am looking into using Webwork for an upcoming web project. In the past I
have used Struts with the Tiles extension which I really liked for its page
layout abilities. It seems that with Webwork most people are using Sitemesh
to do something similar. From what I can tell Sitemesh allows you to
decorate a page with headers and footers etc. but can not do dynamic page
composition. Is this correct?

With Tiles I am able to create several page layouts which define
placeholders for content (eg Context menu on the left with a vertical line
separating it from the main content area) and then for each page I choose a
layout and fill in the gaps with the relevant "tiles".

Is there any way to achieve this with Webwork and Sitemesh? Has anyone used
Webwork with Tiles before?

John.
