I was using 1.4.2, running against 1.3 from CVS. Both are using monthlist.jsp from WW 1.3 CVS -- so the presentation is all JSP.
I got the performance of 2.0 EL much better -- it is now taking on average 150ms compared to 1.3's 80ms. Still 2X slower, but much better than the 4X slower a few days ago.
