That is set in the ParametersInterceptor to let the conversion classes know that it wants to know about conversion exceptions.
When are you getting these conversion exceptions? Are they actually invalid values (as opposed to just "" values, which Pat and I are working on the best way to handle)? You don't want to know about type conversion errors? This is a feature we're still working out, so now's your time to speak your mind... I thought people would want to automatically have field errors added for type conversion failures (I understand that "" -> type fails and it should not have a field error unless the required field validator adds it, and we're working on it), and this is what WW 1.x does when PropertyEditors throw an exception.
