I think I'm going to do that, but haven't desided yet what profiler to use.
And I'm not sure which is the best for webApplication profiling. Also it
would be nice to be able to use it from IDEA. Any suggestions what profiler
to use?

By the way Andrius where are you right now (Lithiania)?

i had lots of out of memory problems, but this was entirely my
application, it was not either tomcat's memory management problems (yes, i
redeployed frequently). i think you should run a profiler.

I know, I can restart Tomcat, but this is not solution. I will come to
same
problem after few days or weeks againt. It can be treated as work
around.
I'm not sure that switching to velocity will fix the problem. I looked
for
information on google and found that problem can by caused by tomcat
deployer or manager. As someone noted there is a memory leak when tomcat
undeploys webapplication. So after few redeplayments I will come to the
same
problem.

I looking forward to switch to Tomcat 5.0, Jetty or Somthing else, not
sure
yet.

Any more solutions? Does anyone had same problems? What they did?

Regards Remis.

An error occurred at line: -1 in the jsp file:
null

Generated servlet error: [javac] Compiling 1 source file

The system is out of resources.
Consult the following stack trace for details.
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

at

org.apache.jasper.compiler.DefaultErrorHandler.javacError(DefaultErrorH andle
r.java:130)
How to deal with that and where to look for
solutions. Can it be somehow
related with javac memory leak?

Restart your server :) It seems that every redeployment causes recompilation of jps classes. And java classloaders are great in loading classes, but not so good in disposing unneeded ones...

I would recommend to dump your jsp and go velocity.
It's faster and esier to handle anyway....
