Java versions for both machine are 1.4.2_03, and
Tomcat version 5. I saw the previous posts and changed file permissions, but it
didn't work. Thanks anyway.

issue was that Velocity requires Java 1.2 and the linux ditros had
1.1.8...

I try to deploy my ww2
application on Tomcat 5 at a RH linux machine and got a
allocate exception: Unable to instantiate VelocityEngine! I tried on my
local windows machine without problems. Anybody has ideas what's going on?
