Hi Mark,

just edit your sources.list and use old-releases.ubuntu.com instead of
archive.ubuntu.com.

Betreff: [openthinclient-developer] Is "Dapper Drake" really the correct
version of Ubuntu?

Dear All,

The Developer's guide specifically says Ubuntu 6.06. Even though this is
quite old, I followed the instructions and created a new VM hosting it.
However, apt-get install tcos-dev fails because dependencies are not
locatable. A quick check in sources.list showed why - the installer had
commented out all the package libraries because it couldn't verify security.
I therefore uncommented them and re-ran apt-get update, only to find our
that the reason security verification had failed was because the dapper
package archive is no longer live.
I'm guessing then that the project has moved on to a more recent version
of Ubuntu but the Developer's guide is out of date?

All the best,

Mark
