Ok i just noticed that our documentation doesnt help you that much ;) 
sorry for that.

In the openthinclient manager you can configure applications by right 
clicking on the "applications" node then choosing "new" and in the next 
menu give it a name and choose the application you want in the dropdown 
menu. Now you can assign your application, Firefox for example to the 
user who needs the application.
You can do this by choosing user and then add, and add the user.
After you finished that process, you should see Firefox on the Desktop 
of your thinclient after logging in with that user.
