Hi J, please write to the mailing list so that others can help, too, and maybe find solutions to their own problems faster. Thank you! :-)

Running the management application on the server really should not be necessary. You are the first one to notice such problems. Which operating systems, their versions and locales did you use in your setup? Are those virtual machines or physical hardware? We have experienced some stange effects with virtual networks that were not bridged to a physical network. > I've startet a second machine as dhcp-server, the booting client says: > "No boot filename found". If it doesn't appear in that list, even after you have right clicked on the PXEClients list head node in the tree view and chose to refresh, that might be an indication that there is a problem with either the DHCP-Proxy itself or that it does not see the DHCP conversation between Client and the DHCP server on the net. Indications that there is a problem with the DHCP-Proxy can be found on the OTC console or in the log file you can find in the installed file <OTC-basedir>\server\default\data\nfs\root\var\log\server.log To check whether it should see the conversation, you could run wireshark on the server interface and use "port 67 or 68" as filter to isolate the DHCP requests. > I could need some advice in the pxe-procedure ... I recently updated the documentation for that in the wiki on openthinclient.org. I hope it will explain the boot procedure to you.
