Assuming users login via secondary directory server, being ADirectory server, and there are no users defined in OTC Manager (in its local ldap), how do we set Application Groups or User Groups, to the ADirectory authenticated users?
Do we need to create the same groups as on Adirectory (not feasible, will be out-of-syn)? Do we need to create the same usernames in OTC Manager, which authenticates from Adirectory and assign the applications(group) to them? If yes, does AD authentication also brings the group info beside the user. Do we need to replicate that manually in the OTC Manager? As you can tell, i am puzzled on how to go about setting application and other rights to users (and groups ideally) which get authenticated from Secondary Directory Server - Active directory authentication. Any guidance, tips or a simple article will be very helpfull indeed. all the best wishes! -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/How-to-assign-the-AD-user-the-application-group%28s%29-tp20428570p20428570.html Sent from the openthinclient.org users' mailing list mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ The Open Source Thin Client Solution http://openthinclient.org [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openthinclient-user
