Hello.
New to this group... Trying to get this promising software working to
resolve my issues.
Little background on me, I am an IT professional that is Fully certified in
the Microsoft admin courses. I am a storage and Vmware Architect. I have a
long love/hate relationship with linux. Have lots of linux boxes running
for different functions and now i would like to get some thin clients
running to get rid of the Microsoft workstation issues. (Virus and crapware)
I am trying to get this software working for my environment.
I have a Good OS linux box (Ubuntu) and have the service running. (Works)
(Vmware)
I have a Windows 2008 DHCP server running. (Works)
I have the Basic config that came with the installation running. (Works)
Client (Vmware pxe)
Here are a few questions I have.
- I would like to follow the guide from the webpage but i hit an issue
here.
- http://openthinclient.org/tiki-index.php?page_ref_id=77
*A "right klick > edit" on the "Package management > Installable
packages" node opens the "Installable packages" wizard.*
- This doesn't show up and i have no idea what to do from here. (No
Edit button)
- Then if i use the packaged solution (Mostly German) I can't get a
workstation up and running well.
- And finally, could someone point me to a good step by step guide on how
to set this thing up?
