The OS is as you call it a single shared image (well, rather multiple shared packages resulting in one common directory tree for all clients). There will also be some space for permanent user home dirs if you go for individual user logins. Depending on what those users do, you could end up using some space... But you could also choose not to offer permanent home dirs (either as kiosk mode or simply no NFS home dir, but I am not completely sure right at the moment how easy configuration for that mode is, Martin might shed some light at this topic). -- Bye, Tobias Abt levigo systems gmbh ----------- ein unternehmen der levigo gruppe Max-Eyth-Strasse 30 Telefon: 07031 / 4161-10 D-71088 Holzgerlingen Telefax: 07031 / 4161-11 Geschäftsführer: Oliver Bausch http://systems.levigo.de/ Registergericht: Stuttgart HRB 245 180 USt-ID: DE813226078 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ The Open Source Thin Client Solution http://openthinclient.org openthinclient-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openthinclient-user
