Answered my question...
 - there is a field in the RDPClient configuration under Application
settings, Connection, Audio
 - setting the Audio field to "yes" provides audio in the remote desktop
connection

So the only issue is that for video streaming the sound and video are out of
sync.
I assume there is not much that can be done about that...

In case anybody has any ideas on how to sync sound and video over RDP please
let me know.
