I think i got the same problem a few weeks ago.

Some short background – the openthinclient server listens to the communication
between your client and the dlink/dhcp-server (dhcp-request) and tries to
interfere in this communication. But packages via wireless are too slow to
interact with both in time.

So - connect client and server over a cable connection – it should work fine.

Kind regards

Well,

Everything is virtual except dlink. All machines are on Vmware. I've tried it
with a real thinclient and got the same.

Vmware i on laptop that is connected to dlnk wirelessly.

I'll try to install it on the real PC if tha might be an issue.

Tnx

Hi,

maybe you can give us some further information.

For example – are you connected via wireless or cable ?

Kind regards

I've installed openthinclient software on Ubuntu desktop 9.04. DHCP is a Dlink
router.

Station is recognized when gets a IP address and I do all necessary setup in
Client manager, but after I restart it I'm getting error from subject.

I've red in some previous posts that I can test tftp serve with command

sudo tftp

but I'm getting command not found error.

Installation of server went OK.

What I'm doing wrong?

Tnx
