Sorry for the late reply Bernd, I was able to get the vm client to work without
a both issue. It worked somehow after installing the vm client with a small OS
and after successfully installing an OS to the machine I then added it to via
PXE client and it began to in utilize the Openthinclient software.

Thank you for your assistance

Subject: Re: [openthinclient-user] Thin client Boot Issue

Hi,

sorry that i could not reply any sooner. It seems that vmware 2.0.2 is working
fine with PXE. At least it is with my test environment here.

I would be helpful if you can give me a detailed description of your test
environment
and answer the following questions:

- On which operation system runs the openthinclient server?
- Is the openthinclient server also in a vmware virtual machine?
- If yes, is it on the same host as the vmware client?
- what are the network settings for the vmware machines (bridge, nat)
- Which dhcp server do you use, is it on the same host or your router?

Also if you need to attach logfiles you can email me directly if there are to
big
for the list.

Best Regards,

Bernd
