Without going into too much detail, I'm currently working on the business
plan section for software/hardware specifications for the Municipal
Information Systems of a non-profit experimental, intentional community to
be located in the North Sonoran Desert of Arizona (USA). Currently code
named: Project Ancient West, we have a projected inception count of 2,500
units with a peak built environmental capacity of double that. Within this
community Internet access, processing power, applications (SaaS) including
VoIP are considered a public service the same as a public roadway.
All systems and applications must be F/LOSS compliant.
*My questions are as follows:*
1. Can OTC be configured as thin client farms?
2. Do you have a connection broker of some kind that arbitrates and
distributes the load across the server farm?
3. If not are you interested in collaboration to create such a system
module?
I haven't found anything in your English documentation about a connection
broker so I'm concerned that the system isn't scalable for a community of
our size. I've had the opportunity to examine an installation of you OS at
one of Southwest Network's Clinic here in The Valley of the Sun. They
performed well and were very configurable but I never saw more than 10 or
12 workstations.

If you think of yourselves as helpless and ineffectual, it is certain that
you will create a despotic government to be your master. The wise despot,
therefore, maintains among his subjects a popular sense that they are
helpless and ineffectual.
