I have a Wyse thin client running Openthinclient.

The user of this station has 'Desktop - Always On' and 'Citrix Xenapp
Integration'. They open a Published Application which runs on a Terminal Server
and requires the use of a serial input device (in this case, an Infra Red
reader).

I've connected the IR reader to the lone serial port of the Wyse thin client,
and verified in the Wyse BIOS that the serial port is 378/IRQ4 (COM1). Further,
I've set up a Citrix Policy which does an 'Autoconnect client COM ports' for
the given user. So I imagine that the serial device will be redirected through
to the application running on the Terminal Server via Citrix. When the app
opens it sees COM1 through COM9 as being available (mapped by Citrix), but when
any of the COM ports is selected, the app just says 'Device connection failed'.

Can anyone provide information on serial port redirection through an
Openthinclient station, or how I might trouble-shoot this issue?

Thanks,

Mark M.
