Hi Steffen,
we had the same issue too. We solved it without modifying the initrd.img
of the otc-server. I added in my dhcpd.conf the global statement
'use-host-decl-names on;' and set in every host declaration
'ddns-hostname "<Hostname>";' . So it's not necessary for dhcpd to get
the hostname from the client. Dhcpd will just use the ddns-hostname
declared for the client and will perform an ddns-update with this.
