Hi ,

I am trying to get the display working on a HP Pavilion 20 all in one PC
with an odd 1600x900 resolution.

None of the display modes work, only black screen with a blinking cursor.

All other computer brands/ models work fine.

Now we have a quite a number of those Pavilion 20 models L so I followed the
instructions to get a xrandr line with cvt -r command.

But this cvt -r output line does not work xrandr --newmode
"1600x900_60.00″ 118.25 1600 1696 1856 2112 900 903 908 934 -hsync +vsync

I get sometimes red green blue white black screens for a few seconds.

xrandr -q , display not found

xwininfo : unable to open display

Any ideas what to do to get this monitor working?

Jack
