Is there a way to make FreeRDP to connect using UDP?
Sadly no.
However, there seems to be an ongoing (slow) effort by David Fort to
implement UPD transport in FreeRDP, see:
https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/issues/4978
and:

Until this is finished, all we can do is wait (or alternatively send
substantial amounts of money to David Fort).
