Dear OpenVAS users,

The OpenVAS developers are happy to announce a round of maintenance
releases for the Open Vulnerability Assessment System release 7
(OpenVAS-7).

This round includes the following releases:
- OpenVAS Libraries 7.0.3
- OpenVAS Scanner 4.0.2
- OpenVAS Manager 5.0.3
- GSA 5.0.2

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to these releases.

This release cycle contains a number of bug fixes and small
improvements. It also introduces the report format "Verinice ISM" as a
predefined report format for OpenVAS Manager. The GSA release removes
support for pausing tasks from the GSA. The pausing feature caused
various sorts of problems while not adding a real benefit (the
"Stop"/"Resume" Feature already serves the needs well).

For a detailed list of the changes in the individual modules, please
refer to the "CHANGES" file which is included in every tarball file or
to the release notes available from the project page here:

  https://wald.intevation.org/frs/?group_id=29

This page contains signatures and checksums for the source tarballs as
well.

You can find links to the latest source tarballs for all currently
maintained releases here:

Binary packages for major GNU/Linux distributions by third parties are
expected to follow soon.

Regards,

Michael Wiegand
