Dear OpenVAS users,

The OpenVAS developers are happy to announce a maintenance release for
the openvas-smb module 1.0 for the Open Vulnerability Assessment System
(OpenVAS).

The openvas-smb 1.0.2 release features a number of minor improvements to
both code and build process. It raises the minimum required version of
the GnuTLS library and improves the documentation of the 'wmic' and
'winexe' binaries.

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this release:
Sebastien Aucouturier, Christian Fischer, Sven Haardiek, Andre Heinecke,
Miguel Angel Cabrera Moya, Jan-Oliver Wagner and Michael Wiegand.

For a detailed list of the changes, please refer to the "CHANGES" file
which is included in every tarball file or to the release notes
available from the project page here:

  https://wald.intevation.org/frs/?group_id=29

This page contains signatures and checksums for the source tarballs as
well.

You can find links to the latest source tarballs for all currently
maintained releases here:

Binary packages for major GNU/Linux distributions by third parties are
expected to follow soon.

Regards,

Michael Wiegand
