I have one additional question. Every component of openvas can be compiled and installed as an ordinary user except openvas-plugins. Is there any specific reason that installation has to be done with root privileges?
Also, why is it necessary to synchronize plugins before they can be used? Namely, after installing trunk version of plugins several of them couldn't be used as some inc files were missing. After update process (openvas-nvt-sync) only one script failed: Loading the plugins... 8670 (out of 11462)syntax error, unexpected IDENT, expecting ';' Parse error at or near line 40 /opt/fedora/openvas2/lib/openvas/plugins/secpod_rhinosoft_serv-u_dir_trav_and_dos_vuln_900149.nasl could not be loaded All plugins loaded Stjepan
