I just tried to reproduce the issue you described with SVN HEAD and did
not notice anything unusual.

>From the looks of it, I would say either your client NVT cache or the
server cache were generated by an older version or became corrupted.
There were some minor changes in the way the preferences are send by the
server during the last weeks, this might confuse your client.

I would suggest deleting your cache and thus forcing the client to
rebuild its cache. Let me know if this resolves your issue.
