Hello,

I read through the ChangeLog of openvas-client and
came to the conlcusion that we should release
a 3.0.1 with the changes upto and including 2010-05-06
as these seem to be all compatible with 3.0 libraries.

Only the newest seem to require 3.1 libraries.

So, how about branching after 2010-05-06 into 3-0,
do a 3.0.1 release based on that branch and then
do a 3.1.0 release based on the trunk?

I would have preferred to not have a 3.1.0 of openvas-client
but rather have 3.0.x be compatible with libraries 3.0 and 3.1.
Can't we just add some compatibility layer to the last
3 changes so it is not needed to branch yet at all?
In other words: can't we achieve to have openvas-client
trunk compile with libraries 3.0.5 as well as with 3.1.0?

Best

        Jan
