Hello, With CR #25 we introduced support for using WMI (Windows Management Instrument) to retrieve information from Windows host. For this, we use a library maintained by the Zenoss project with a patch to simplify access from openvas-libraries.
Lately Chandra has been busy updating our patch and the openvas-libraries integration side to make sure it works with the latest release by the Zenoss team. You can find details about applying the patch in openvas-libraries/doc/wmi-howto.txt. Today we have sent the patch upstream to the Zenoss project and we hope they integrate it so you won't have to apply the patch manually in the future.
