Bugs item #6249, was opened at 2011-10-09 16:31 Status: Open Priority: 3 Submitted By: Hanno Boeck (hannob) Assigned to: Nobody (None) Summary: openvassd should print error on console if certificate not found Architecture: None Resolution: None Severity: None Version: None Component: None Operating System: None Product: None Hardware: None URL:
Initial Comment: I just had the following problem: I was running openvassd, it showed me that it loads thousands of plugins and afterwards, it's just gone. Took me a while to find out that if I run it with -f, it will tell me what's wrong: The server certificate was missing. I'd suggest that openvassd should check the availability of the certificate BEFORE the daemon forks to the background, so the user gets an error message if the daemon doesn't start due to a missing certificate. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://wald.intevation.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=220&aid=6249&group_id=29 _______________________________________________ Openvas-devel mailing list Openvas-devel@wald.intevation.org http://lists.wald.intevation.org/mailman/listinfo/openvas-devel
