Initial Comment:
Using last Debian packages, installed following instruction, any connection to 
gsad hangs indefinitely. 

I tried also to look running gsad in a terminal, with:

/usr/sbin/gsad -f --listen=127.0.0.1 --port=939--alisten=127.0.0.1 --aport=9393 
--mlisten=127.0.0.1 --mport=939


but nothng change, connecting to https://localhost:9392/ hangs, gsad get 100% 
cpu, stracing it gives just:

# strace -p 3876
Process 3876 attached - interrupt to quit
select(0, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL
