Hello,

long time ago we introduced "debug_message" as a NASL message command.

I just checked and found that it is not used by any of our NVTs.

I am aware it was me who added this command, but I think now that in
fact the debugging should better be done in a form of logging (perhaps
Scanner offering a scan-log to be downloaded by Manager and Manager
defining log-level when starting a scan).

However, in practice I found the need to have a "error_message" instead.
That is to inform the user that essential parts of the scan were
not performed as expected because of some errors and therefore results
might be biased with False Negatives.

Since debug_message is considered no where so far (neither in NVTs
nor in GUIs) and Manager only passes it, IMHO we should simply
rename it to error_message so we can later on build a False Negative Alert
Management here.

Any concerns?

Best

        Jan
