Hi Veerendra! I compiled and installed wmi-1.3.14 on Ubuntu 12.04 32 bits, it works! I never thought the OS bits type would be a problem. Thank you very much for your kind help.
Though my problem solved, I want to remind people who may concern that I still can not make querying registry work on Ubuntu 64 bits machine.
