The override configuration file you can add to /etc/openvas does not work for
greenbone-certdata-sync
The other two scripts do pickup on the conf file but it would appear that
greenbone-certdata-sync hasn't been changed yet.
See the grep below for information on the differences:
$ grep '\.conf' /usr/sbin/greenbone-*-sync
/usr/sbin/greenbone-certdata-sync:[ -r
\"/etc/openvas/greenbone-certdata-sync.conf\" ] && .
\"/etc/openvas/greenbone-certdata-sync.conf\"
/usr/sbin/greenbone-nvt-sync:[ -r $OPENVAS_SYSCONF_DIR/greenbone-nvt-sync.conf
] && . $OPENVAS_SYSCONF_DIR/greenbone-nvt-sync.conf
/usr/sbin/greenbone-scapdata-sync:[ -r
/etc/openvas/greenbone-scapdata-sync.conf ] && .
/etc/openvas/greenbone-scapdata-sync.conf
