Greetings,

I downloaded all of the tarballs associated with OpenVas and began with the
libraries (per the instructions on the installing/ config page). Upon
running ./config for the openvas libraries, I get the following error:

checking for GLIB... no

configure: error: "glib >= 2.6.0 not found"

As you can see from the output below, I have a virtual package installed for
2.7.1 for glibc.

v   glibc-2.7-1                                               -

i   glibc-doc                                                 - GNU C
Library: Documentation

v   glibc-pic                                                 -

i   glibc-source                                              - GNU C
Library: sources

i   libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2                                    - The GNU
stdc++ library

I don't know if the fact that 2.7.1 is a 'virtual' package or not would be a
factor for the error above, but if anyone has run into this, please let me
know.

Thanks in advance.

M.E.F
