Yes, I noticed that too, probably shortly after you downloaded the
packages. ;) This is fixed in the most recent Debian packages and in the
SVN repository.

As Felix said, openvasd outputs messages just like this, but I think it
is Debian SOP to pipe the output to /dev/null when starting up. Not sure
how verbose you'd like to be in your init.d scripts.
