as you have seen, I did this and CCed this list.
However, nmap people did not react. Perhaps they are just drowned by
their work.
Another very good candidate is Metasploit. They do a great job
and have a good deal of knowledge about the things
we need as well for developing NVTs. I could imagine we
can learn a lot from them. Though I don't want to turn OpenVAS
into an rootshell provider ;-)
Luckily, H D Moore even is the author of a couple of NASL scripts
we have in our Feed :-)
However, I have no idea what the Measploit people think about OpenVAS.
