I am looking at my client gui now... I don't see any reference to
"Manager" anywhere... Does this require a re-compile of the client?? On
the task bar there is only...
File, View. Task, Scope, Report, Extras, Help...
When I setup a new task it does ask me to connect to an OpenVAS Server /
Scanner, but the only option is apparently OTP 1.0??
I am going to try a couple of things and see if I get anywhere while I
await your response...

How did you connect to the Manager in the client? You need to use
Manager->New to create a new Manager in the client. Perhaps you created an
OTP task with Task->New or the new button on the tool bar.
Have you considered trying out the GSA? We're focusing on that and an
upcoming QT client.
