Hello everybody

I followed your suggestion and I installed the version 3.0 of OpenVAS,
but I have a problem about the client(?).

I installed the three mandatory modules:

- openvas-libraries-3.0.5

            I executed ./configure -prefix=/usr/local/openvas; make;
make install

            all was OK

- openvas-scanner-3.0.2

            I executed ./configure -prefix=/usr/local/openvas; make;
make install

            When I started make, I got back the following error:

/bin/sh: cmake: command not found

make: *** [all] Error 127

            I installed cmake and all was OK.

- openvas-client-3.0.0

            the first time I started the ./configure
-prefix=/usr/local/openvas

            I got back the error that the gnutls found was too old:
1.6.3 release instead of >= 2.4.

            So I installed gnutls (2.8.6) and all its up-to-date
dependencies (libgpg-error-1.7; libgcrypt-1.4.5) without any prefix, but
under

            the default directories (/usr/local/...).

            After the installation of gnutls I restart ./configure
-prefix=/usr/local/openvas, but I got back the same error, that is
./configure was still aiming to gnutls-1.6.3.

            I copied the two files /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig/gnutls.pc
and gnutls-extra.pc under the directory where the same file for gnutls-
1.6.3 already were (usr/lib/pkgconfig) and I restarted ./configure
-prefix=/usr/local/openvas.

            It was at last OK and I executed the following make and make
install.

I did the final steps, that is I started openvas-mkcert, openvas-adduser
and all seems to be OK.

I checked for the plugins under /usr/local/openvas/lib/openvas/plugins,
it was empty so I started openvas-nvt-sync, which downloaded 34222
elements, both .nasl and .nasl.asc.

As root, I started openvassd and as normal user I started OpenVAS-Client
&.

The client started well, showing the previous tasks, which were executed
using the 2.0 release, of the same user but I found these problems:

1- For a new TTT/SSS, created after the changement of release, the
"Plugin" form does not show plugins with the exception of the Service
Detection (family)/Service(plugin). Old TTT/SSS continue to show all the
plugins, with the same flags (enabled/disabled), of the previous
release, and OpenVAS executes them right!

2- For a new TTT/SSS, created after the changement of release, the
"Credential" form (right side) is totally empty! Obviously, old TTT/SSS
continue to show their original credentials and they work!

3- Always for a new TTT/SSS, the "General" form shows only the
"SYN Scan" and "Openvas TCP Scanner" port scanner

When I connect the new TTT/SSS to the server, the screen where,
previously, I started OpenVAS-Client & is filled with these kinds of
errors:

I installed OpenVAS on a Fedora C7 system on VMWare virtual machine.

Is there anyone who can help me, thanks.

Best Regards

Francesco
