Hello,

I just checked in the Python OAP client library 'openvas.oaplib' into
svn. This is a pure-python implementation, not a binding to the oap
C-interface, thus none of the openvas libraries are required.

This package also includes a test suite and a command line tool
`oap-cli`. The later uses sub-commands like svn or openssl does. A man
page is available, too.

Testers, especially packagers, are welcome to try out and let us know
what changes/improvements should be done to this package.

'openvas.oaplib' is analogous to 'openvas.omplib', which I published a
few weeks ago: Both packages show the same behaviour, use analogous
command line options and share parts of the test code.

Since OAP is far from being defined and not even documented completely
yet, I abstained from releasing the package yet. Nevertheless you can
install it using `easy_install` (aka setuptools). Simple follow the
instructions at <http://pypi.python.org/pypi/openvas.oaplib/>. (Of
course, future releases will be on wald.)

The SVN repository is available at
<svn://svn.wald.intevation.org/openvas/trunk/bindings/python/openvas.oaplib>.

It's my goal to complete this interface as soon as OAP has settled.
Maybe this package could replace openvas-cli since it works on
every platform, Python is available on.
