I am PhD student, my area of research is on patches and vulnerability
management. I have been using Nessus for a while, and now came to know of
OpenVAS when I read its comparison with
Nessus(http://www.securisite.org/biblioteca/FRAN/documentacion%20curso%20seg/3/Nessus_vs_OpenVAS_en.pdf).
Though the main page diagrammatically tell about OpenVAS architecture, but am
not following it fully, is there any other source of info (paper/link or
research articles etc) which discuss the architectural view of it? Or is there
any case-study using OpenVAS?
Google search for this type of info doesn't give me desired info.
