Hey folks, I'm new here, and I'll try not to be a newb.
Running OpenVAS_4_VM.x86_64-0.0.27 virtual appliance. My goal is to detect systems that are not being patched correctly. I've synchronized the NVT Feed and currently have version 201204171151. When I scan a system that is known patched and a system that is known not patched, the results look correct to me. When I scan a range of IPs that include those two hosts the report comes back with exactly 0 threats. I've used the syntax: 192.168.0.10-20 as well as 192.168.0.0/24. Not all IPs in this range are used, and openvassd.messages correctly reports that: user om : The remote host (192.168.0.12) is dead However, the scan should correctly report on the hosts that are up, should it now?
