Hi ALL,
I have installed Openvas on Centos 6.2. After installation &
configuration, all services (openvas-scanner, openvas-manager,
openvas-administrator, gsda), starts smoothly. But some problems have been
found in openvas logs.
Problem-1
Why it is showing time variation in the system, openvas-scanner,
openvas-manager?
while system & openvas-administrator time is ok.
Before start the same services I have check my system (Machine) date & time.
[root@scanner ~]# date
Wed Aug 22 13:47:17 IST 2012
After that I have start openvas-scanner service
[root@scanner ~]# tail -f /var/log/openvas/openvassd.log
[Wed Aug 22 08:19:37 2012][5025] openvassd 3.3.1 started
Then start the openvas-manager service
[root@scanner ~]# tail -f /var/log/openvas/openvasmd.log
lib auth:WARNING:2012-08-22 08h22.22 utc:5043: Authentication
configuration could not be loaded.
Then start the openvas-administrator service
[root@scanner ~]# tail -f /var/log/openvas/openvasad.log
lib auth:WARNING:2012-08-22 13h53.11 IST:5052: Authentication
configuration could not be loaded.
Openvas-scanner and Openvas-manager times are difference from system
(Machine) and openvas-administrator.
Problem-2
Openvasmd.log and Openvasad.log showing same warning, where is the problem?
