openvassd.messages reports that the "remote host is dead" even though I
can see the return ping in Wireshark (on the host O/S, I didn't look in
the VM). I can ping the remote host from the VM CLI OK.

I turned off the ping options and got further (I did that by downloading
the XML & editing it; is there a better way?).

Synching the NVTs didn't help.

There are no IPv6 entries in /var/lib/openvas/users/om/kbs/<target ip>,
only IPv4 entries
