so it's your problem

sorry, but i played around more than a year with trying
to keep openvas upto-date on Fedora until i had enough
and installed a CentOS6 VM with atomic-repos

why?

because it is generally a stupid idea to have the security
scanner not on a dedicated machine and in this case it
does not matter which packages you are using
