Hello all, I've tested more and the scheduled scans work perfectly. This makes me believe that there is some problem with the GSA. I've set up the gsad on verbose mode to check its logs and this is all I get:
# tail -f /var/log/openvas/gsad.log gsad main: DEBUG:2013-05-29 07h30.07 utc:623: Forking... gsad main: DEBUG:2013-05-29 07h30.07 utc:624: GSAD will bind to address * port 9392 gsad main: DEBUG:2013-05-29 07h30.07 utc:624: GSAD started successfully and is listening on port 9392. Setting both openvasad and openvasmd on verbose too, the extra information I get is this: md main: INFO:2013-05-29 07h41.39 utc:2122: OpenVAS Manager md main: INFO:2013-05-29 07h41.41 utc:2123: Manager bound to address * port 9390 md main: INFO:2013-05-29 07h41.41 utc:2123: Set to connect to address 127.0.0.1 port 9391 lib auth: INFO:2013-05-29 07h41.41 utc:2123: Authentication configuration not found. ** ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: OpenVAS Administrator ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: users_dir not set, setting to default ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: Using directory /var/lib/openvas/users/ as the users directory ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: sync_script not set, setting to default ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: scap_script not set, setting to default ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: cert_script not set, setting to default ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: Using /usr/sbin/openvas-nvt-sync as the nvt synchronization script ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: Using /usr/sbin/openvas-scapdata-sync as the scap synchronization script ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: Using /usr/sbin/openvas-certdata-sync as the cert synchronization script ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: scanner_config_file not set, setting to default ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: Using /etc/openvas/openvassd.conf as the scanner config file lib auth: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1112: Authentication configuration not found. ad main: INFO:2013-05-29 09h34.30 CEST:1113: Administrator bound to address * port 9393 But still no clue about why the web interface does not work.
