at least in the windows firewall the assigend ip-ranges does not contain the scanner-IP so if there would be an answer port 137 UDP/TCP would be the smaller problem "nc" does not help that much because it say to any port "connected to" makes it useless for probes [root@openvas:~]$ nc -vu 10.0.0.132 7777 Ncat: Version 6.25 ( http://nmap.org/ncat ) Ncat: Connected to 10.0.0.132:7777 > I'll take a look on this in the next days... thanks
