I am trying to connect to an openvas slave using openvas 6 running on CentOS
6.4 (both master and slave). I am using the Greenbone Security Assistant web
interface for the configurations. I am able to run scans from both the master
and the slave independently of each other. However, when I try to run scans
from the master to the slave the scan remains in the requested state and does
not continue. I ran a tcpdump on both systems when I requested the scan and
the OTP TCP handshake appears to be working properly. Is there something I can
do to test the connection and validate that the slave is working properly?
I have already tested the connection using telnet and it works fine on port
9390. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to use the master
slave feature.
