Hmm.. the UUIDs do seem to still match up, but the tasks are still
missing.
Here's another question, since the issue is only with the tasks, do I
need to bother with openvasmd --rebuild or --update? Those relate only
to NVT caches, correct?

LDAP users are in var/lib/openvas/users-remote/ldap or
var/lib/openvas/users-remote/ldap_connect, by the way.
