maybe i will do that but that won't solve the problems
that you can't use a leading edge distribution most of
the time because you don't get OpenVAS running (thanks
for stripping the relevant info from your quote) and
then when you as OpenVAS project decide "we need a
new GnuTLS for this and that" it may luckily build

fine, and what happens if the next GnuTLS update
won't work with OpenVAS but the distribution makes
a update since other software works and you again
don't care like a complete year?

if you as OpenVAS project would have solved the problems
with recent GnuTLS and libmicrohttp versions somewhere
2012 instead pointing with your fingers that it's not
your fault while other software worked with it the
switch to a LTS distribution would not have been
nessecary
