Hello Barry,
First, if the original openvas-nvt-sync is still running, you should
terminate it.
If it's "stuck" after this, look in the temporary files directory for a
subdirectory openvas-feed-sync. This should contain some nested
directories that reflect the path to the sync script.
For example if the openvas-nvt-sync is installed in /openvas/sbin/ and
the temp directory is /tmp you should find the directory
/tmp/openvas-feed-sync/openvas/sbin
If it contains a file openvas-nvt-sync with a timestamp and a username
in it, deleting it should allow you to start the sync from the GSA
interface (and the OMP sync_feed command) again.
Best regards
Timo

Hi,
The last NVT update I attempted via the Greenbone web interface failed
(apparently due to a network issue on the internet)…
I was able to update it on the command line, but the web interface still
says
“Synchronization in progress. Started Fri Aug 8 18:27:07 2014”
And
“Feed Version 201408130644”
(note the contradiction)
How can I reset the status / web interface?
Thanks,
Barry
